There’s been fun on the farm for almost a hundred years. Summit City Farms and Winery has been in the Glassboro real estate area since 1922. Special events, fresh produce, and fine wines bring the community together.
The farm itself is family owned and operated. Fruit orchards thrive on hundreds of acres. Crisp apples, plump peaches and juicy nectarines are sold in the farmstand and through the Jersey Fruit Cooperative. The local fruit stand is loaded with fresh veggies and fruits. Located close to Glassboro homes, it is easily found at 500 University Blvd.
Things are hopping and corks are popping at the Summit City Winery. Over 30 flavorful variety of wines are ready and waiting to be enjoyed. Tastings tease the senses with flavors robust and subtle, fruity and sweet. Connoisseurs are pleased with reds, whites, table, sweet and fruit wines. A selection of deli meats and cheeses are offered alongside tastings perfect for pleasing the palate.

The winery at Summit City Farms is open each weekend. Hours are 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, 1 to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Tastings range from $8 to $10 and include a souvenir glass. While the pinot grigio and chardonnay are raved about the region’s fruit wines are especially popular. Favorites include cherry, red raspberry, apple and peach.
Special events are always on the calendar. Music flows freely keeping with a high energy, toe tapping vibe. Friends and neighbors gather for Summit City Farm's Wine and Music Series. Wine and Live Music Nights occur every first and third Fridays with no cover and complimentary snacks. Groove to tunes of the good old days each first and third Saturdays during Wine and the Oldies Music Night. Those with talent team up with friends who just want to have fun during Karaoke Nights each second Friday. And, on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month, Wine and Country Nights have boots stomping and folks kicking up their heels.
